Abhorrent Rapture

Pure and raw frightening death metal. There is something about this band that feels really attractive to me. It is something similar to what happened to me listening to Genocide Pact, both of them have something special and different from the rest that I really appreciate. Not the typical guitar sounds and vibe. Witch Vomit feels really brutal and serious and terrifying and also melodic and musical at the same time. It is worth giving it several listens if you like death music.

VoidCeremony went with dirtier production and more focused songwriting to make for a more OS-sounding and linear listening experience, but that linearity allows for a deeper narrative explored through more direct chord progressions, riffs, and an effectively perfect interlude. This EP is short, but damn does it do everything right. VoidCeremony is giving us a glimpse of just how much of a powerhouse they are shaping up to be.
